Vaguely Specific Productions is introducing the comedy world to the incredible talent in Georgia and bringing high-profile Hollywood stars to your venues near you. VSP was founded by former Dad’s Garage Theatre Artistic Director and Second City Executive Producer Jon Carr. Running the creative team for Second City gave him the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in comedy while also solidifying his belief that Georgia has the best comedic talent in the world. By creating hilarious and wholly unique comedy experiences, VSP shows are can’t-miss events for everyone. 

Who is Vaguely Specific Productions?

Jon Carr is the founder and producer of Vaguely Specific Productions. As the former Executive Producer of The Second City, he oversaw all creative aspects of Second City Chicago, Toronto, and Hollywood. Before that, he worked as a performer, writer, and Artistic Director of Dad's Garage Theatre in Atlanta, Ga.

He has had extensive experience both on the stage and in the office of some of the most influential comedy institutions in America today.

Utilizing his extensive network and entertainment experience, he brings together incredible comedy artists for a wholly unique entertainment experience.

Kevin Gillese is the co-founder and co-producer of Vaguely Specific Productions. As the former Artistic Director of Dad's Garage, he spent ten years cementing the company's place as one of the top comedy theaters in the country. Before that he was the Artistic Director of Rapid Fire Theatre up in Canada, where he oversaw all weekly shows and festivals. Kevin has always had a "lead from the trenches" philosophy so he has been directing, writing and performing alongside his company members every step of the way.

An experienced creative producer, over his career Kevin has: 

- Produced more than 1500 live comedy events, 50 original plays & 15 festivals across North America 

- Performed in more than 1000 live comedy shows world wide 

- Written (or co-written) more than 10 plays that have been staged in Canada and the United States

- Directed more than 10 plays at theaters across Atlanta 

- Written & Produced exactly 1 feature film that will be released soon...
